shift lights?

I was looking at getting a shift light for my 98 v6 and i found this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SILVE...01683700QQrdZ1 i think its a good deal, but i heard sumone tell me that it wont work because my car doesnt have a distributer. Is this true and if so, is there anything i can do?

Why do you need a shift light?

You're better off getting an integrated tach/light from Autometer.

But it's not like you're going to harm the engine without notification. Your car comes with a rev limiter.

Woe to him who builds his palace by unrighteousness, his upper rooms by injustice, making his countrymen work for nothing...Does it make you a king to have more and more cedar?Did not your father have food and drink? He did what was right and just,so all went well with him. He defended the cause of the poor and needy, and so all went well...But your eyes and your heart are set only on dishonest gain,on shedding innocent blood and on oppression and extortion.
