Easy Tweaks and a question

I am celebrating the Firs Anniversary purchase of the best car I have ever owned and enjoyed. A 2004 Screaming Yellow Mustang Convertible with 3.9L V6. I was experiencing slight hesitation, changing the air filter to a K&N made a world of difference. It's a difference of night and day and to think If I added cold air induction. as a plus mpg's has also increased. Now it's time to think about moving over to synthetic oil. Any suggestions as to oil and filter?

Thanks,

It should already have a synthetic blend in it, it asks for SAE 5W-20 premium synthetic blend.

The drop in filter gives you the majority of the HP, probally 8-10. If you got a good cold air intake with it you have gotten and 4-5.

2002 v6 manual, SSM P&P Heads, Comp Cam from SSM, and some other stuff full list in profile.

Try Royal Purple 5w20. It can be harder to find but it is really good. I have used it in the past and love it. I will be converting mine to Royal purple on the next oil change. Goto Royal Purple's website and search for a retail location close to you.

nah, the drop-in is worth 5-6 hp, assuming everything else is in tune. With a good plastic CAI, you can pick up another 5-6, but you won't do any better than a total of 5-6 with a metal CAI.
