2000 Stereo Wiring

Hey, i just got a 2000 Mustang, V6 5 speed. I was trying to put an aftermarket cd player in. My car has the premium sound system. On the back there are 3 big plugs. One is power/dimmer/switch, etc. The other one has 8 prongs, its for the speakers, the last one has 6 prongs and it runs the stock cd player and i think it has the power lines to the amp, but im not sure. All i was trying to do is run my head unit and speakers off the stock amp.
Thanks for any help
Joe
