Thumbs up v6(2000)-v8(1998) engine swap

I was wondering if anyone knew if I can fit a 98' 4.6l gt engine into a 2000 v6 body? My buddy crashed his gt and is sellin it to me for 2 grand but i wanna make sure it'll fit before i buy the car. email me a response at [email protected]

you can find a 99 GT engine for about the same. The 99's have the PI intake, cam and heads which put out 40 more hp stock than the 98 4.6. I would look for a 99 V8

the conversion would be very expensive. Your looking at $5000 Easy
