Complete Fluid Change.

Ok, next weekend i plan on doin a complete fluid change on my 98 3.8. What trans and diff fluid do u all recomend? Any i should stay away from? What size is my rear end(7.5 or 8.8) and even tho i dont have traction lock, would it be benifitial to add the friction moddifier to the diff? Thanks

I was thinking of going synthetic or semi-synthetic but the car has about 100,00 miles and im not sure if te fluid has been changed before and i have heard that if you switch over to synthetic with high miles that the synthetic fulid actually uncovers leaks. Is that true? What do u recomend?

1) Forget the friction modifier. Use synthetic whenever possible.

2) It can, but the seal would fail eventually.
