Yeah, but you'll need a Cobra Rear to balance it. from a 1998, as it was the last stick axle.

On a live axle suspension with a 4 link, you really need the rear to be stronger than the front, otherwise you defeat your purpose, if you want sharp handling .. .

You'll oversteer like crazy with a Cobra front and a GT rear . ..

Along this same topic, what is a decent resonably priced brand of front/rear sways for the V6? Also, can these be used w/o doing any other suspension mods ie. springs/lowering etc...

Thanks

Depends on intended use. For all around street, either Cobra Takeoffs or Bullitt Takeoffs are great.

You can usually pick those up between 75 dollars used to around $200 new, (I think). For Autocross/Road Racing level of performance, they run $300+ generally. For those you can look up Eibach, Maximum Motorsports, Steeda, Griggs, Kenny Brown (now Engineered Performance) etc.

You don't need do do any other suspension mods.

Rear is 4 bolts.

Front, you should probably swap the bushings, but it's not too tough.

My 2003 V6 should already have a front sway right? If I add a rear sway should it be less of a diameter or more than the front? Also, I read that these cars have a tendency to understear, but we've all had that overstear feeling when the a$$ kicks out. Will a rear sway make this even worse, esp on wet days?

no. It can if there's a real mismatch. for example a competition say at the rear and a v6 at the front, or a cobra rear and a v6 front.

But the snap oversteer has more to do with the inability of the suspension to positively locate the rear differential. The 4 link is horrible.

Diameter on the front is usually larger. there's more weight.

Re: corbra sway bar

I was recently told that the v6 swaybars differ from the v8 and both will not work on my car. just the v6 will. is this true?

The sway bars ARE different, that's the point. but there is NO difference between V6 & GT suspension attachment points.

Tell whoever told you that, that it's news to me, since I've got one on my car.

Four bolts, and it's in.

One of the 6ers here has a complete Cobra IRS. They are ALL the same chassis.

Re: corbra sway bar

Now, a 99+ IRS rear sway bar will NOT work.

For the Rear, it has to be a pre-99 stick-axle swqay bar.
