how much hp are you planning?

Are you using synthetic fluid?

with a 99+ it's computer controlled. you need a programmer or have the dealership reprogram the computer.

ok...well im not exactly sure how much im planning. my plan for the future is all this gear stuff, then suspension, then maybe a chip, but probly not a whole lot past that. almost 100% sure it wont go over 300. is that enough info? or do u need more exact? i think right now im at around 210 or 215....does that sound right? and i dont think i use synthetic fluid...im only 16 so i never choose what i get (i know that sounds bad but hey...) and i have an auto that i wish was stick but oh well...is that enough information?

what is all that stuff i asked about anyways?

you need a programmer, or you have to pay the dealership to recalibrate. Otherwise you'll burn out the transmission -it's computer controlled.

If you use synthetic fluid, you don't need the friction modifier. You'll also get better gas mileage.

If your goal is 300 hp, go ahead and pick up the girdle.

Keeps you from blowing out the rear end. the 7.5 starts to get iffy at around 300 if you abuse it.

Why not just swap to the 8.8 out of a junkyard GT if you are planning on going to around 300?

Two reasons.

Weight. (only a minor issue, granted, but it doesn't hurt).

Cost of installation.

It's a lot easier to bolster what you have (the TA girdle is good for 400 hp, if I remember correctly) than to install an 8.8 in.

so how high in hp could i go without having to get the girdle? reason is that im young and 130 bucks or whatever it costs is a lot more money to spend than just for the gears and t-lok. and idk how much longer ill have the car....high miles and im going to college. actually...chances are i wont make it up to 300 (at least not on this stang). how much hp would i have with gears and t-lok (i know they dont add anything), then getting a chip? the chip is probly my next mod (after suspension) but after those two what is their left to do that isnt a huge mod (no nitrous or supercharge or anything)?

250-275 hp or so. You can go higher, but abuse it and it will be dead at more than 300 hp.

What have you done so far?
