96 3.8 4R70W will not go into gear

I have a 96 mustang that all of a sudden wouldn't go into gear. The selector will move but the car won't. I don't know how hard of a fix this is going to be because I haven't done much work with automatic trans. The engine runs fine but I am thinking that I should just replace the transmission. Please let me know if anyone has any ideas for me. The cheaper the better! I am not afraid of tearing it apart myself if I have to.

How many miles are on the car?

Checked your fluid lately?

Woe to him who builds his palace by unrighteousness, his upper rooms by injustice, making his countrymen work for nothing...Does it make you a king to have more and more cedar?Did not your father have food and drink? He did what was right and just,so all went well with him. He defended the cause of the poor and needy, and so all went well...But your eyes and your heart are set only on dishonest gain,on shedding innocent blood and on oppression and extortion.
