96 mustang Theft system

Hey all My wife has a 96 mustang 5 speed. 3.8. She has the theft system on there. The inside of the trunk got pretty wet. Now when you lock the doors, the alarm sets. After about 1 minute it starts going off. I found the theft control in the trunk, and there were to plugs in there 1 towards the enging and the other towards the back. I unplugged the one towards the back. The car starts and locks. Acts normal, excpet the theft light does not come on, and does not start going off.. My question is, is it ok to leave that unhooked??

Someone can steal the car . . . Other than that, it's ok.

Woe to him who builds his palace by unrighteousness, his upper rooms by injustice, making his countrymen work for nothing...Does it make you a king to have more and more cedar?Did not your father have food and drink? He did what was right and just,so all went well with him. He defended the cause of the poor and needy, and so all went well...But your eyes and your heart are set only on dishonest gain,on shedding innocent blood and on oppression and extortion. Thanks, is there a way to fix that. The theft box had a number to call before replacing. Maybe call them. Not to worried about it getting stolen. Just got annoying. Lock the car up and just get inside, and the alarm goes off..
