Why are 98 Stangs are different?

Well Since i have been into mustangs... I have noticed that alot of parts that are designed to fit the 94-98 Mustangs... will not fit on the 98... I was just wondering why this happens??? i thought they all were the same car?

I've noticed that too. Sub frame connectors in particular.

the 98 had a lot of 1999 updates on it. It was an in between year, and a lot of changes were made throughout the entire production line as they ran out of parts for the 98 and used 1999 parts. Also a lot of people liked the 94-98 cars better than the new edge models, so there was greater demand than the planners had anticipated.

So some of 'em from a 1999 will work, some parts from a 97 will work, but there's no guarantee. Especially for cars made late in the year.
