I am looking at some CS wheels off a 2012. they were painted over all black ( idiot move)

I am trying to find out now what kind of paint job. id like to get them back to original look.

IMHO, if the paint had a hardner in it, probably chemical dip

Just because Plasti-dip is so popular, are you sure they were painted and not Plasti-dipped? Plasti-dip you can peel off. It's tedious, but pretty simple.

If paint on paint, good luck just getting the paint you want off and not the paint underneath.

If it's Plasti-Dip, that'd be great. It literally peels right off, and doesn't damage the paint underneath. No chemicals necessary.
