yeah I don't understand that either, if the weights fell off they would have been visible in the boxes

That is great that AM took care of it like that. But normally this should not be a concern; I have taken wheels/tires that I bought from AM right out of the box, put them on the car, and they were fine. Not perfectly balanced, but very good.

As someone mentioned earlier, make sure the retainer clips were removed from the wheel studs. If you don't remove them, you will get crazy vibrations at certain speeds, and you and the shop will go out of your minds trying to solve it by repeatedly reballancing the wheels with no affect (been there, done that! LOL)
Thanks for the heads up on the stud clips. Had to Google it to find out what you were talking about. I doubt the shop took these off so I'll pull a tire off when I get home to check.
