Sucks to hear man!
How is everything else on the car doing? How is my intake manifold holding up?
This car is driving me nuts! I love it, but here lately it's just getting to be everyday something new.
First off, the intake started leaking around the T-stat. I was going to just swap it out with the one I got from you, but I found a very small crack near the T-stat. No worries tho, I'm not blaming you. I could have bumped it or something fell on it etc. I did move shortly after meeting you, so who knows what happened.
Next up, I'm having a cold start (as well as a 2,000rpm rattle) when it's cold. I'm guessing something timing chain related. So I guess that's on the list as well.
And finally, I'm pulling in oil to the TB from somewhere, but I can't find out where. I have a catch can routed to BOTH valve covers, yet the can seems to be catching.... nothing.
The oil issue is causing detonation problems as well. I'm having to run an 87 octane tune with 93 octane gas to prevent detonation. And it seems to be getting worse with summer coming. If I run 87 on the 87 tune, I have to pull 6 degrees of global timing to keep it from pinging to death.
I'm honestly thinking about just straight up selling or trading the car for something else.
