Modifications

Drivetrain
Original engine 289 "C" 2 Barrel.
After rebuild: Block bored 0.030"; Crankshaft turned under 0.010 & 0.010. using original 7 replacing one that was bent. Bearings are Sealed Power 4125M (Mains) & 2600A (Rods).
Vibration Damper is Summit 163289 (28 oz.).
Pistons are Forged DDS E302 flat-top (overkill).
Camshaft is Comp Cam Extreme Energy CL31-234-3 (grind XE256H) & 2120 Timing Set.
Original Cylinder Heads (chambers 53.5 - 55.5 cc). Thermactor "humps" ground out. Comp Cams Screw-in Rocker Studs (pn4504); Exhaust and Intake port matched to gaskets. Hardened Exhaust Seats; Valve Guides; Stainless Steel Valves; Comp Cams (pn972) Valve Springs/Retainers/Locks. Comp Cams Pushrods (7632) heat treated to work in early heads with slot instead of hole for push tube. Slot eliminates need for Guide Plates.).
Lifters; Pushrods; Valve Springs/Retainers. Comp Cams Roller Tipped Rockers (pn 1442 non-rail).
Edelbrock Performer Intake with Holley 4150 4 Barrel. Originally ran an Autolite 4100 1.08 Bore. The Performer Intake nor 4100 have provisions for a PCV fitting. tried to make an adapter that fit between the carb and intake but it seemed to mess with the vacuum of the secondaries as they sometimes did not close completely. So the switch to the Holley which has a port in the rear for PCV connection.
