Primer now will be painted vintage burgundy
Found the car on CL, bought the car in the dead of winter, mistake. Trailered the car back to the shop, car would not run, needed floorboards, both rear fenders and other sheet metal. Took the dizzy cap off, rotor not turning, stripped the pin for the shaft and gear, replace the pin, put some gas in the carb, started right up, after sitting in a backyard under a tree for three years. Before that I have no history of the car.
1966 Ford Coupe (Primer now will be painted vintage burgundy)
When I got the car, it had the newer large log head intake, (earlier 70s Fairmont?) Swap out the automatic for the larger V8 3 speed manual, bell housing flywheel and clutch pedal install, all works very well. New engine gaskets with paint, HEI upgrade and headers. Going with the Weber 2bl set-up or the 3 carb set-up, shave the head while its off, and see how it goes after that.
Gut the interior, and start over. Only real problem I have is, someone cut a square hole where the radio was, ouch.
Lots of sheet metal repairs, floor boards, rear quarters, tail light panel, trunk corners, battery box and panel, bondo and primer. Get the car painted Vintage Burgundy with Black vinyl top.
Replaced all with new parts. Did the Shelby One Inch drop.
