History
Bought this for the Mrs and our dogs.

It's teaching me about how to work on BMW's lol. Needed quite a few minor repairs to bring it up to snuff, but it's been fun working on something different to what I've ever played with before.

Currently eating about 1qt of oil every 1000-1500 miles. Apparently it's because the oil rings on the pistons suck on this motor. Can either be fixed by replacing the piston rings (one day I'll rebuild it), or apparently by running an extra vacuum line from the PCV Oil Separator to the Intake Manifold and increasing Crankcase Vacuum to encourage the oil rings to seal better against the cylinder wall.

I'll try the Vacuum line mod and see how it goes. $2 in vacuum hoses sounds cheaper than a rebuild.

This is one of those cars where you see stuff the previous owners attempted to do/fix and makes you say "wtf were they trying to do here!?"
