Im new to this so sorry if this post sounds noobish. I'm having issues with my Auto lite 1100 in my 66 mustang. The car will idle strong but when i give it some gas i believe it is getting to much air and not enough fuel. I replaced the fuel filter and it seemed to fix it for a week but now I'm...

hey guys I'm in need of some help. I have a 67 mustang with an inline 6 200 CI. It has an autolite 1100 carb with a single diaphragm. No exhaust on it currently and I'm slowly replacing things under the hood not much left. My issue(s) is that before I rebuilt the carb, the motor accelerated and...

I'm definitely a rookie when it comes to cars. I never changed oil in one until I got my '66 Mustang from my grandmother. When we first got it running after sitting 25 years we had problems with the engine hesitating when you barely pushed the gas and it would just die on me unless I let it...

I purchased a 6 cyl 1965 Mustang and will pick up next week. Car has Load-o-Master and Autolite 1100 SCV carb. Can a later model (1968) distributor (not a Load-o-Master) be used if Autolite vacuum port is plugged off? Or another 1V non-SCV carb is used? Or a Weber 2V carb on adapter...

Hey, I'm really new to having a carb on a car and need some help adjusting it. I have 1967 automatic mustang coupe with a 200 straight 6 engine with an autolite 1100 1 bbl carb that has a anti stall dashpot on it. I know how to adjust it, I just don't know how to get the car running at max...

I recently bought a 1967 mustang coupe automatic with a i6 200 motor that has a 1100 autolite carburetor. It runs fine most of the time but occasionally it likes to stall on me. I can start it up and it will idle just fine but as soon as I shift it into drive and push on the gas it dies. I can...

My 66 I6 has been running fine, then last night it failed during acceleration. Opened hood to find pools of gas on intake manifold. Car idles just fine, but whenever the accelerator is pushed or car revved up gas comes pouring out of the driver side of the carb. Hard to tell exactly where, but...

I just rebuilt my carb, autolite 1100, and now have a problem. When I ease on the gas, all is well and I can go to high rpm. From a stop, if I try to romp or just give it a quick tap, it stumbles and dies. A little more info: my accelerator pump was squirting gas with the rebuild so I...

Does anyone have any advice on how to fix a Autolite 1100 1v carburetor with a power valve assembly that gets stuck in the up/depressed position? details/hints: I have my dad's 67 Mustang with 200 six and rebuilt the carburetor in 2009, 2 time in 40 years. The problem is that there is no fuel...

Hey guys I just recently installed a rebuilt autolite 1100 carb. on my 1966 I-6 Mustang, with C-4 Trans. It is running much smoother. But today whenever shifting from "PARK" to "REVERSE" the car itself shifts and you are able to hear/feel the shift then it starts to putter out and then dies...

Hey Guys I just got my refurbed autolite 1100 for my 66 coupe in yesterday. But I have a bit of an issue that I'm not quite sure how to resolve. Whenever I start the car. And begin to drive it, the throttle stays slightly open. So naturally its causing wear on brakes and drivabilitly. And is...

Hi. I have a 1968 Mustang with a 200 straight six. The carb and distributor are 1965. Here is the problem. The Autolite 1100 carb has all the features I'm told they are known for. Dead spots, hard starting when hot, etc. I have rebuilt it but didn't make much of a difference. Are the...
