  4. N/A numbers for crate and other drop-in engines?

    2005-2010 Mustang GT Tech
There are a decent amount of replacement 4.6L engines for our cars, and most of them are designed for FI and racing and are made out of some great stuff. We see in the specs what the engine is capable of (example below) but has anyone tested their power output before putting a supercharger or...

I have a short block that was sold to me as a low mileage Ford crate engine. It is a E7TE block, bored .030 over, with Ford forged pistons in it with valve reliefs. I recently bought a 1966 Mustang 289 C-Code Coupe with factory air and a C4 auto. 5.0L Tech
Hey Guys, I have a 1995 GT and would like to either rebuild my engine or buy a crate engine from FRPP. The one at FRPP offers around 340hp at the crank. I am leaning towards a rebuild with forged rotating assembly and AFR heads and hoping to make around 400 at the crank. Thanks for your reply.
  10. 302 Build Kits?

    Classic Tech
I've been searching high and low for a 302 kit. Not a rebuild kit, mind you, but a kit that gives you all the parts needed for the engine and lets you build it yourself. Does anything like that exist? One of my Mustang buddies suggested PAW, but as of September 30th, they only sell Mopar kits :/
