Well, i bought my 2006 v6 with 141,000 miles, now 147,000. I have changed the cabin filter, air filter, fluids...etc. I got to thinking about changing the fuel filter as I did not know where it had last been replaced. I bought an new one and changed it.....I am beginning to think it has never...

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen! Considering this is my first post on this forum, feel free to tell me if I'm doing something out of line. Now, about my dilemma. I own and love a 2005 v6 Pony Package Convertible, and It's nearing its 80 000km service mark. I bought this car a couple months back...

I pre ordered the cai 3 weeks ago and I got tired of waiting. I still purchased the tuning for life and the tuner from steeda though, however it took 2 weeks to get the tune from them so I've been running the bama 93 perf2 tune since bama got back to me within 3 days of my tune request. When I...

I have noticed an oil leak from somewhere above the oil filter. From looking around at various forums, it seems like a common problem would be for the oil filter adapter gasket to go bad in 4.6 L engine. But not many people have complained about this in a v6 3.8l engine. Has this happened to...

I have a 1998 mustang GT that is pulling numerous codes although most parts have been replaced. I'm out of ideas as to what to do next. It has been having fueling issues lately. The fuel pressure will be just fine, drop down to about 5 psi, stall the car, then go back up to where it should...

I was going to change the oil in my mustang myself since it would be cheaper than going to get it done. I was wondering what kind of oil and filter would work the best? My car has 115k miles, a BBK throttle body, Plenum and CAI, flowmaster pipes, a tune and pulleys.

Changed my cabin air filter (finally) after 35k miles. Thought i'd share a picture as i thought it was comical how dirty it was.

My 2002 V6 4.8L Mustang is having some problems. It idles high for a while when it's starting up. And sometimes when I'm driving, something happens. It's very hard to explain. Me nor anyone who has felt it can really explain it. It reminds me of falling down the stairs, my grandmother of waves...

I recently replaced the fuel filter on my 1998 3.8L V6 and now when I turn on the air(vent or a/c) I smell gas. I'm pretty sure I replaced the fuel filter correctly and didn't have any problems. I took the old one off and clicked the new one back in. Any help is much appreciated, Thanks, Michael.

I'm going to start upgrading my car in a few months, and I'm pretty bent on getting a new (AirAid) intake first. However, as I visited their site, there are two filters for the CAI: SynthaMax and SynthaFlow. As far as I'm considered, SynthaMax is not oiled, so it's easier to clean, albeit a...

I went to my local ford dealer and asked the service manager if putting an aftermarket CAI on my 2011 v6 would void my warranty. In response he said "maybe if your claim had something to do with the engine, but I personally wouldn't recommend it because although it increases airflow, it also...

Hello, first post here. It sounds simple maybe but not so obvious to me about the oil fliter placement. I have a FMX C9Z and when I took of the oil pan the filter came with and dropped in the pan. After cleaning the filter trying to put it back but something is strange about the clip at the end...

I really needed to do my fuel filter on my '03 V6 and decided to do this myself for the first time. I disconnected the fuel line by disconnecting the fuel line inertia switch in the trunk while the ignition was in the "OFF" position. I then ran the car until it died, did this 4 times to release...

I've been reading these forums for a bit now, and you guys seem to definitely know your stuff. So, as the new guy I guess its my responsibiltiy to come up with dumb questions! ...well hopefully not too dumb... I am just starting to get into modding my car (2002 Mustang v6). I had a few questions...

Yesterday I changed my dirty air filter to a slightly larger (and clean) filter on my cold air intake. When I started the engine, the idle was a little shaky but then became steady. I drove around for a bit to test it out. Everything was running just fine until the check engine light turned on a...

I've had my 3.8L V6 2000 Mustang automatic for a few years now, only 38,000 miles. I was forced to leave it in a garage while i went off to college for approx. 5 months, so i ran in some fuel stabilizer and drained it down to about 1/4 tank and parked it, covered it and let it sit. I just came...

I am planning on getting a dryflow filter before I'll have to clean the CAI again and I've got a few questions. 1) Where would you guys and gals recommend I buy a Dryflow filter? 2) What dimensions should that filter be for the JLT? 3) Because it is the same size I won't need a new tune...

Im averaging just shy of 16 mpg in my 2000 V6. I do a mix of high way and street driving but having to fill up every other day in a V6 is ridiculous. i do not know the full history of my fuel filter but American Muscle promises better fuel economy with a new one. has any one ever replaced their...
