My 2004 Mustang GT has a whine/humming sound coming from the rear end only under slight acceleration or when holding a steady speed. It starts making the noise around 45 mph and will continue to about 55-60mph. I typically drive around 50mph most of the time and this is when the noise is most...

Every once in awhile I will have a humming sound at idle from around the intake area. Its a stock intake with a K&N drop in filter. The intake tube also vibrates while its humming (fast and short but continuous like a phone vibration).

I have a 2000 Mustang GT with a manual transmission. When I rev my engine or shift gears I get this HUMMING sound coming from the front of my seems. You can hear the sound from inside the car as well. I have read that this could be a noise coming from my speakers. I have checked and...

I have a 2000 GT manual tranny with 152,000 miles. For a while now I've noticed a hum coming from the engine when I either rev it up or shift gears. The only way for the noise to stop is to drop back to idle. Here's a link to a video of the noise. Turn up your speakers so you can hear it better...

This is *not* a transmission whine thread. When in reverse, my 2012 Mustang GT "hums" or whines at slow (parking lot) speeds. It actually isn't transmission related - it happens in neutral if the car rocks backwards. It "hums" as if it's a friction sound. No adverse effects as far as I can...

Hey everyone, I was driving the car down the highway with the convertible top up, when I thought I heard a humming noise from the rear end area of the car. Is there a real way to see/hear or test if the differential gears are going bad?

New to this, so I'm hoping for the best... 1989 5.0 GT 101k, 5sp, 3.55 Bought the car about a year ago. Vibration developed. Sounded sort of "oscillating" at about 2k rpm and 45mph in 5th gear. At 75mph, vibration was BAD. Not rpm specific. Actually, push the clutch in and it got worse. Yeah...
