  1. V6 Tech
Hi, I'm new to this forum & seem to have a unique problem. I've got a 65 Mustang & I can't get more than 20-odd litres (5-6 gallons) in, before it starts coming out of the filler pipe. I've tried all the old tricks to remove air locks, to no avail. I'm pretty sure the sender unit is working...

I bought a fuel tank kit from mustangs unlimited. Should I paint the bottom of the gas tank before I put it in, in order to prevent rust. Also what sealant should I use to put the gas tank in?

Can someone explain to me why I am only averaging 12.8mpg (18L/100KM) in my 2011 v6. All my driving is in the city and I currently have 3:31 gears. On a full tank of gas I get 200 miles (321km). Thanks

I recently installed a UCI on a 2010 Mustang GT. While I was under the car I noticed this (in the picture). For orientation, the fuel line is in the center, the exhaust is on the left, the panhard brace is bottom/left, to the right I think is the spare tire well. As you can see the...

Hey guys, I just bought a 2005 Mustang (used, obviously lol). After attempting to fill up the gas tank I'm extremely irritated. I'm having the issue where the pump kicks off and doesn't want to fill up by itself. Ive done a search here and found a few threads on the topic, but nothing recent...

I am thinking of replacing my gas tank with new one and new sender and such. I know there was a danger with the fuel tanks in these cars from rear end collisions, tank can open up and spill gas onto the occupants. So I was thinking of going with a safer system something like for racing. Anyone...

Hey everyone, I'm new to this site. I just got my 2005 mustang about 2 months ago, which is also my first car. I've noticed that every time i go fill up my tank, i have to fill it up at a very slow pace, otherwise the nozzle stops pumping. Sometimes i have to take out the pump nozzle and...

I changed the gasket twice w/o removing tank. I was concerned gasket wasn't seating so I removed tank and tried again with no luck. Should I replace sending unit? It's hard to say where gas is actually coming from.

I've got a 66 Mustang with a 200 6 cylinder in it. I've had it on the road for about a year now and overall it runs and handles fine. My issue is an intermittent gas smell inside the vehicle. I can drive sometimes for a day or two, and there is no smell of gas, and all of a sudden there it is...
