    Hey guys i tried searching for this but haven't found much. I'm afraid my timing chain guides and or tensioner are nearing time to be replaced. Is there any way to tell besides yanking everything out? Also, if they do need replaced how much am I looking at for a mechanic to do it? Any help...

    i have a basically stock 88 GT. it has broken 2 timing chain covers in 3 days. timing chain is not loose. no broken teeth on cog. no wear marks on inside of timing chain cover. what would make the timing chain cover break. it shattered it in several places.:headscratch:
