the 8.5 is the only time he ran in the 8's except for when it was stock.. he is an alright driver..not the best but better than most. and as for the rest im tired of defending my car, i know what the deal is with it...and i know they made 225 at the crank (STOCK)... im not a dumbass.......but its cool man i didnt start the post to defend my car because i have no reason to it is what it is and there is no if's and's or but's about it...... i dont need a dyno to prove it to you i dont have to because i know what it is... but if you send the money to get it dynoed ill be more than happy to get it dynoed and share the results with you.

If you come in here saying you are making 135-155 hp more than stock with your mods you are very dillusional.

310 rwhp after 10-15% drivetrain loss means you would have 355-75 hp at the crank.

94-95's made 215 hp, not 225 like 87-92.

Do you see why I am skeptical. I have no doubt your car is fast but let's be realistic. Those 94-95's were tuned like crap from the factory also.

I just read this entire thread and I have an opinion about it. '95yellowGT with the mods you listed I really don't see you honestly having any more than 260 rwhp. When someone builds a car like your buddy did why did he not get a dyno tune to tweak all the power out and check the A/F ratio? Also with cool weather, slicks or DRs, and an awsome driver, I think a high 8 is obtainable with a 1.7 or better 60' time. When you drove the Cobra did you shift at 6600+ rpm. Also why would anybody go from a 3:27 to a 3:55 in a Cobra? I could see if it had stock gears and you shifted at 5500 then your GT might pull away from it. I'm not trying to start any argument here but this just doesn't sound %100 accurate.

215hp and 285ft/lbs stock torque ok ur right about that ghost and dollerbill i know how to drive man my friend even drove my car and said that it pulled a whole lot more through 4th gear than his. now remember we only raced up until about 80-85mph........but u guys obviously know more about my car than i do :yup: bull**** lets say its not exactly 310 all im saying is it closer to 310 than any damn 220 or whatever your trying to say i was told by him that was what it was and i was skeptical i was thinking like maybe 275.....but now that i have been driving and beating people who i wouldnt think i would and im not just talking about the cobra.....ive got to where i believe it. what do you mean it doesnt sound 100% accurate?? which part?? i beat the 01 cobra not the 03 is that what ur confused about. The only way i would race the 03 is if i was in a 07 shelby cobra which in fact is looking more and more like just a concept car and not going to be made in to production.

All I'm saying is no amount of porting with your mods (motor totally rebuilt, E cam, headers, hypertech chip, underdrive pulleys, CAI, msd ignition, x-pipe, mac mufflers, ppp throttle body, 3.73 gears) will give you 310 rwhp or 356 hp at the crank. I'm not saying you get smoked by everyone either but lets break it down.
215+ fresh motor with E cam= 230
230+ headers and full exhaust= 250
250+ cai and tb= 260
260+ underdrive pulleys= 270
270+ MSD= 270
270+ Hypertech chip= who knows because it wasn't ever on a dyno
So that leaves the porting of the stock heads, MSD, and chip to add 80 hp at the crank to give you 310 rwhp. Maybe my numbers are not so accurate but I see you gaining another 30 or so from the porting and chip not 80. Don't get me wrong this combo with gears would be a quick car. Hopefully GhostDog 5.0 can give more accurate numbers because he may have more first hand experience than I. BTW some pics of your ride would be cool.

My best time in my 94 when I had an E303, GT-40p heads (ported & polished), performer intake, 24lb injectors, 77mm pro m, 70mm throttle was a [email protected] This was with a chip, 5 speed, and 3.73 gears. I find it hard to believe your putting out the power you say with just ported heads and a few mods. But hey man.. more power to ya! :drink:
