hello all new on here I have a 02 stang 5speed the pcm went out of it so im wondering if they interchange with others my pcm ends in PB and I cant seem to find any at salvage yards and they are 200 new trying to get out of paying the 200 I know they have to be married to the car but wondering if others will work thanks

I would think any PCM from a 99-2004 mustang GT 5-speed would work. Even a PCM from an auto might work; you would just need a custom tune to turn off the Auto tranny feature...I could be wrong...

Lebanon?? I went to college pretty close to there (southwest baptist university in bolivar). Welcome to the site, love seeing folks from MO on here.

I'm not 100% sure, but isn't there a particular calibration of the PCM for the engine? Or replace the PCM based on the engines calibration code?

There is a decal on your PCM with a 4 digit code, you need to locate a PCM with that exact same code. There are usually a good amount of them on ebay. I would check there first before going through a junk yard. Otherwise Ford will have to reflash another one for you if it's a different code.
