wish i had taken a video but it happened so fast. just following a white mustang 05-07 v6 with dual exhaust. I pulled up beside him and he honked, i gave a nod and away we went. we race from 75- 115mph and i actually had 2 car lengths on him when i hit 115.... i was very surprised i won it may be that i had almost no gas and maybe he had just filled up idk. has anyone else had fun friendly races?

I ran against an 08 V6 right after getting my car. It was a blast, but no competition. The 08 didn't perform very well against the 2011, but then again, we knew it wouldn't. :kooky:
Yeah they are low end cars even though they have a 6000+ redline factory, that's the only reason they can do a 15.1 1/4 off the lot, I have never had one keep up with me on the highway very well, meet a kid on time coming through little rock had a orange S197, he jumped on me when we started from 70 (anybody who has driven an auto knows that is one of the worst places to start besides 40) but I still caught up, when we started from 65 and 80 it was my race end of story.....

****all this was before motor work****
yea we should all race our econocars against other econocars on the highway to see which econocar is the less slow econocar

We all gotta start somewhere, not everybody has 457rwhp. Some of us got a V6, others got a crappy 2V 4.6. I can't help but assume that at some point in your own life you may have once owned a car that sucked but you were proud of it anyway. Quit hatin' on people for bringing what they got.

Still waiting to see a positive post from you. Take your time bud, I'll wait.

Both cars in the title are V6's why would you even bother to open the thread if you know it's something you don't like?

Go to a V8 forum if that's all you care about........

Oh Vash, I knew you would not let us down and would pipe up with some comment in a negative manner. I really don't understand why you even bother to visit the V6 forum's, stay on the V8's and convince them how great you are. We all already know what your feelings are about V6 cars racing.........:nono:

Hmmmm seems like this is not a V8 or V6 forum. Seems like this is an open forum where the exchange of ideas beyond that of "OMG YOU RACED YOUR FORD, EVERY FORD EVER NEEDS TO BE RACED AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE BECAUSE FORD! FORDS! IF YOU LOSE THE OTHER PERSON IS CHEATING AT RACING!"

As for the rest of you, yea we all need to start somewhere.
It's called RESEARCH! Any 8th grader knows what that is. Just because you HAVE a car doesn't mean you should race it.
and it's not V6's, it's ECONOCARS. Sorry your V6 is an economy model racing that is the equivalent of racing in a prius or a cavalier.

You do realize this is like saying the base model Corvette is an econocar. Or even a base model Porsche. Those are the economy models for those brands. Last I checked just because its an entry level version of a sports car doesn't make it an econocar.
I can't even believe you compared a V6 Mustang to a Prius or a Cavalier. That's some BS there.

end of line...
agreed with the person above. I may not be a fan of the v6's or own one. but to compare it to a prius. come on :nono:
Ya everyone has to start somewhere guys. That's why vash constantly comes back to v6 threads. Cause he can't stand up to real gts that have any form of respect. Vash, you threw out the word RESEARCH yet you then state that a v6 mustang is comparable to a cavi or a prius. Here's some research for ya...
2011 Ford Mustang V-6 First Test - Motor Trend
"Not that the Blue Oval's new six-cylinder musclecar needs more power. Yep, you read right: We called the new 3.7 Mustang a musclecar."
"If you still can't wrap your head around the musclecar idea, then how about the Mustang V-6 as a sports car?"
Man, I was unaware that econocar was spelt M-U-S-C-L-E C-A-R...
Ya this is a v6 thread. It says so in the title. I bet if it said 457hp gt vs viper srt10 you'd prolly cream your shorts. Listen kid we all know you have something to compensate for *cough cough*
So vash if your car is so bada$$ why don't you go stand up to the gt500 guys? You're car is just an "econocar" to them...
All of us here know that you have a napoleon complex and just need to put everyone down so you can feel good about yourself.
You seem to be so convinced that more cylinders mean more power. I dare you to race a 'busa. That INLINE FOUR that has only 197 hp can do 0-60 in 2.6 seconds. Your big, bad, end all be all gt that has over twice that can do 0-60 in what? 5.5 tops?
So vash what do you say? You think you can beat a smaller engine with your 475hp and your insecurity issues? I don't think so bud.
If all you're gonna do is come on v6 threads and :fuming: "UGH V6's HOW DARE THEY THINK THEY HAVE CARS!? RARRRGH! MUST POST WHY THEY SUCK EVEN THOUGH NO ONE CARES WHAT I SAY. I'M RIGHT YOU'RE WRONG V8 OR DIE :deadhorse: BLAH BLAH BLAH" then seriously vash GTFO

I dont own a v6 vash, so by no means am i offended by ur ``econocar`` comment...but...some people could poke fun at the fact u drive an automatic...alot of us on here drive stick. The point is, we all could say negative comments about each other...live and let live dude!:shiny:
strange, ive found 2004 and under v6's dont present any challenge when racing, this just me?
Just checking to see if I have this right. According to Vash, if a car gets good fuel mileage, it is an econcar, or is it If the car is the base model it is an econcar. I am so confused, but I enjoy my V6 even if it is an econcar with more horsepower than a lot of older V8's. :smilie
lol thanks for the comments guys. it was pretty funny reading them. i chose my mustang b/c i like the way it looked it got better gas mileage than my jeep and it was newer. 28mpg's econo car i dont care if you call it that. i love all mustangs and i have no qualms with driving a v6 auto. didn't buy it to race, but when the opportunity to have a fun/good race appears before me i'm gonna take it.
Not to add to the spam but I would hardly call my car a sports car. It is a fun to drive car and quite honestly they are economy minded so he does have a point.
Also, no V6's at the track? Your going to try that?

Theres defenetly some high horsepower V6's on this forum, one of which is bottlefed and runs 10's and another which is blown running 11's. Thats a pretty good time.
a v6 mustang isn't an economy car in my opinion not at all they are too quick to be what would want to economy seeing as how i can stay right at 100+mph on the interstate barely touching the throttle theres no way an economy car should be able to do that stock or lightly modded. i tell you what if its not a true muscle car well then it is definetly an entry level musclecar. the only mustang that i would even call an economy car would have to be the 4cylinder from the 80's and even they can get alot power modded right.
