Mostlikely a 1/2" wheel spacer will do. But make sure it is a 5×114.3 bolt pattern.

The 01 wheel offset is somewhere between 24-30mm compared to the 05 being a 39-47mm that is much less than a whole 1" so. I am just guessing however. Imho i would not of bought takeoffs from the other years do to that issue. Measure and see how much clearance you have to the fender lip and go under the amount. Good luck keep us posted.

When I bought my '95, a previous owner had already fitted it with S197 wheels. They were installed using 25mm spacers, which unfortunately don't seem to have any part numbers on them. But you can find an assortment of different sizes through Mustang vendors like LMR, AmericanMuscle, CJ Pony, etc.
