hello i currently have a 2005 v6 mustang. and have a single flowmaster american thunder that sounds amazing btw. but i was planning on getting a dual exhuast all along. i already have dual gt takeoffs but i dont want to buy and entire conversion kit with mufflers since i already have some. i will just use these until i have 320 dollars then buy flowmasters. but in the mean time i need to know what exactly i need to buy to make this a true dual exhaust. dont know much about exhausts just a little bit. i want to keep my catalytic converters. i live in illinois and i need to pass my emmisions test of course. but i need to know what i need to buy, i will go with either and x or an h pipe depending on prices.

and i plan on selling my single flowmaster american thunder.

other mods coming soon: tloc-4.10s, this dual exhaust, underdrive pulley, sct tuner, (already have a bbk cold air intake)

how much horsepower do you think i will have with these mods?

thanks, all responses will help

Wellcome to AFM :wavey

I went with pypes. The kit starts behind the cats an goes to the mufflers(of your choice). You can check out there web for the kit.

Welcome to the site!!! ;)

I would recommend having a local muffler shop take a look at the car and having them custom make you a setup. This is what I did, and I saved a load of money. You can have the shop cut the pipe right after the cats and run two seperate pipes down to the mufflers. You can also add an x or h pipe, but it will cost a bit more.

The mods you have plans for will really help with the get up and go of the car. The 4.10s will make acceleration much faster, but you will lose about 5% hp. You can figure around 25-30 rwhp between a custom tune, cai, and exhaust. The pullies will add another 5-10. From my experiences, you will probably see between 200-210 hp, which will be a nice bit of get up and go.:bigthumbsup

theres something i forgot to mention before, its that my dad is a mechanic and said he will do it all and for free hopefully. but he said i have to figure out what i need and everything i need to make it happen. i will probably get the left side hanger for the drivers side muffler, then what im gonna want to do is get an H-pipe? and cut after the cats and just install the H pipe, then the H pipe will go all the way down to the bumper where then i hange my 2 mufflers, correct?

sorry if these are dumb questions im new to exhuasts.
