My 05 mustang says its overheating on the gauge. But its really not overheating. The car can sit all day i go start it up and its near the red. I replaced the temp sensor and that didnt work. I checked fuses and they are good. The only thing i could think of is that the gauge is messed up. Any ideas?

05-06 mustangs are notorious for having bad stepper motors in the gauges. That's my guess as the cause of the issue. If you have some soldering experience, you can replace them yourself. I'd also recommend replacing the others as well since you're already in there. You can get the motors on eBay cheap. Or you can contact a cluster repair place and have them do it.
