i mean in all honesty if i had the money i'd have sheet aluminum welded over the window opening worked into the body and painted to match the rest of the body so it looks oem.
IMHO they look kinda tacky.
yeah i would love to cover with sheet metal, and really cover them. but i aint got that kind of money.
in person i think they look better, everyone loved them on my 2007,thats why i did this.
and the screws on the window plastic match the wheel screws, ties in with those.
well if you like them that's what matters there is always gonna be people who say they look cheap or they look good. you just have to take good with the bad.

personally they aren't for me i rather have the flush mounted louvers.
yeah i hear ya,whats great they tape on,and i didnt spend any money re-doing them!
so i can just rip them off! no harm done.
going to keep on a couple days, and see what reaction i get.
i did, they are same color as wheels.
i painted,wet sanded,and polished
I think covered with sheet metal flush with the surface and painted body color would look really cool. That window is almost completely useless anyway.
In my opinion, I hate anything that doesn't have an actual purpose or function like fake hood scoops or fake hood pins. And I don't see the reason or function for these window deletes, I think the louvers look cooler...but then again, that is just my opinion...I could be wrong.
I went with Cervinis deletes

i was thinking of doing the same thing removing the window and flush sheet metal to fill the gap and paint the interior side the same side if possible but check out my post from a while back with a photoshoped pic

I drive in heavy atlanta traffic 6 lanes wide and make lane changes..i ACTUALLY do use my passanger side quarter window pretty frequently as it prevents a blind spot.

However, several of the louvers available have functional vents so that you can actually see THROUGH them well enough for lane changes ...those are the ones i would have gone with.

I usually BACK into my spots for parking due to this (you cant see ANYTHING backing out...and even the louvers with functional slits keep you from seeing out when you are inching out of a a busy parking spot..

So for this reasons..im having to say no (even though the louvers do have the "function" of blocking out sun and helping keep the car cooler on hot days.

Ill go with window tint and a stripe kit before ill obstruct my vision when backing or lane changing.

If you like it that's what matters. My first impression was lukewarm at best, but I've looked at all of the pics now and see the connection to the wheels which is a very different way to tie things together, and it does seem to work. I don't think I'd go the same direction on my own car, but honestly it doesn't look bad when you see the whole thing from the rear-quarter view.

I've toyed with the idea of louvers or side scoops over mine, but I'm a big ol' boy so I actually look out of the right quarter window to check my blind spot in my 2010 so I don't think I'll be covering them.
