1 yr with my 5.0

I work a lot. and dont drive enough. only 4900 miles so far on my 2011 GT in 1 yr. Well actually 14 months.

But just wanted to say i have had no reliability issues with my tranny, #8 cyl, Ford sync, or anything else for that matter.

Love this 5.0 over any sports car i have ever owned.

Things I love:
1. Engine has power/torque everywhere.
2. The Ford Racing Axle back is pure sex. best sounding exhaust i ever owned for any of my cars. i realize no performance gain but the sound is perfection
3. Sport mode (double tap traction con. while hitting brake) and steering stiffens up
4. the compliant touring GT suspension with high profile 18s. Bumps are easy to deal with. car feels 300% more comfortable than s2000 and my 200% of the 350z track ed i had.
5. Premium interior. Feels like i am in a upmarket car. not a Ford Mustang
6. Paint! The metallic paint is much nicer on the Kona blue than my friends dark blue Ferrari 575. He actually wished his car had my paint.
7. Ford Sync. I never listen to local radio anymore. its all ipod or Pandora. And the voice navigation is very helpful. I dont need a navigation screen.
8. Barton Short shifter is great for banging gears. I got the bracket too so there is a solid "thud" backstop into the gear. no mushiness.

Just a few more months before winter. I will likely put the 5.0 back in the garage in November.

In any forum, you get a disjointed view of the reliability of a car. If you have a problem, you go looking for a forum. Glad to hear you are doing great, and that is one great looking car(could use some stripes :))
Love it. I have the kona gt 6mt 3.73's as well. I too work and travel too much but I love my Mustang.
Nice idea, I'll make sure I'll post here after one year!
Glad to see all is good and that you love your Mustang, so do I.
Thanks for keeping us updated! :bigthumbsup
+1. Congrats, we love ours too!
Ford Sync... When I bought the car.. I was like.. Yeah that won't get used much... I LOVE IT....

Glad ya love your car... I was looking for a blue it's a awesome color ... Then they showed me the Candy... Had to have it...

Even my hardcore bowtie friends admit the the 2011 is a fine car..
My 5.0 is nearing 13,000 miles and so far it has zero mechanical issues, no cosmetic issues, and one minor rattle somewhere in the dash. I love this car.
She looks great! Congrats!
Glad to hear everythings still OK after a year, car looks real good.
How can you have No problem with your tranny? According to Mr. Jerk, everyone will have problem sooner or later. Please post again in another year. oh, nice car by the way.
Wow.....love your car....but...you need to drive it more....I picked up my 5.0 in South Carolina and put 3,000 miles on it in three weeks (touring florida beaches).....then put it on a boat to ship to Germany where I am now with the military......it's on a ship somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean not scheduled to arrive here in Landstuhl until early September......I can't wait to get it here on the autobahn.......:gringreen

Gorgeous car! Get some more miles in before the snow starts!
Yesterday I was stuck behind two losers side by side on the freeway both doing one mile below the speedlimit :nono:. Finally I went around them in the far right lane and in a spllit second they were both specks in the rear view mirror and the speedo was at 90! My wife was like "WTF?" I was like "it's the car, honey!"
I love this car:worship

good for you. i had to sell my car after 9 months and 1600 mile because the transmission is POS and the value is dropping like a brick in water. thanks ford, you lost a life long blue blood supporter. i will NEVER buy another ford.
Good Post! Congrats. Mine just past the one year mark too but I have about 12,500 miles. Knock on wood, no major problems. Now go put some miles on that baby before the snow comes back!

Sorry to hear your unit was lemon with 1600 miles. No help from warranty?
My tranny is running like a champ.

After a year and 13k everything is fine... lots of cheap ford stuff I notice, but the fundamentals are fine, tranny, engine and braking. Handling and suspension? not there yet.

That's what lemon laws are for.

Everybody can make a lemon. Personally my lemon was a BMW 330 - worst POS I've ever owned. 20K in 13 months on my '11 GT and no problems yet. It is almost making me forget how bad the BMW was. Almost.
