Does anyone know if you can put the 2013 wheel center caps on 05-09 rims? I'm currently rockin' some of AM's 2010 style GT500 rims on my '06 GT, and was looking at replacing the center caps...with some '13 Boss style caps. I found a really good deal on a set of 4...but figured I'd ask first.

As I understand it, the OEM center caps do NOT fit the aftermarket wheels, such as American Muscle, correctly. I think they can be made to work, but there is something that is a little off; like the clip inside or something like that. I ran into this when I wanted to get some different center caps for my AM wheels; though I never actually tried it because I was told it would not work.

Great question Ohfivestang,

Your wheels look great! In regards to the center caps, the stock center caps are the same size as our aftermarket center caps (2.5").

The issue is that the way they clip in is different and therefore they will not sit in the wheel properly.

That being said it is fairly easy to make them work, clear silicone did the trick for me :bigthumbsup.

Hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions!
