I am replacing the transmission cooler lines on a 64 1/2 coupe, and can't figure out which lines I need to order.

My car is a 1964 1/2 coupe (built July 29 '64) that has a C4 transmission with the following casting number on the driver's side:

C4AP 7A040-C

From what I can find, it's from a 1964 Ford (generic)/Galaxie, but I can't find anything to tell me if it was for a 6 or 8 cylinder car. The data tag on the servo cover is missing (of course). The servo cover reads:

C8AP 7D027-C (might be C6AP)

This car started out as a 6 cylinder, but now has a 302 (year unknown) in it.

Order lines for the V8. The only way you will know for sure what transmission you have is to have it serviced. As I understand it, a six cylinder C4 can be serviced out and clutched up as an eight cylinder transmission. The outer case is the same. The only change from a six cylinder to a V8 is the bell housing, flywheel, and starter.
