Just hooked up my new wiring harness and instrument panel. I can't remember if the GEN and OIL warning lights are supposed to light when the key is turned?
Do they only go on if there is an issue or is there a way to see if they go on at all.
They don't light up right now at all.

I'm fairly certain that they only turn on when they notice an issue. They're wired straight to the sensors, so there's no devices in the path to the light to keep it on.

Hello.:) When you turn the key on the warning lights are supposed to come on. If the key is on, but the motor isn't running, you don't have any oil pressure and the generator isn't charging. That's exactly the sort of thing that the warning lights are supposed to let you know. :) Once you start the motor, the oil pressure light should go out almost immediately. The generator light sometimes takes a bit longer, depending on the condition of your battery. :)
