So I my car is almost ready for paint. I have finished the engine and just need one more gasket to replace. I decided I want to order wheels and tires before paint and body. I also already ordered everything I need for the interior. I am getting Torque Thrust D's. I have all stock suspension no sag and want to know what is the best size. I was thinking 15x7 225 in rear and 15x6 205 in front. Can anyone point me to the widest 15x7s that will fit front and rear in a 65 mustang. Will 215 15x7 rub in the front. Do I need to run 15x6 in the front to keep from rubbing. What would you guys recommend front and rear must be 15 inch. Thanks!

hello;

15 6 with a 4.25 back space is a safe bet on the front. on 15 x 7 - 15 with 4.25 - 4.5 is a safe bet on the rear.

205 x 70 - 15 will fit well in front but is only 24.7" high which is pretty short plus it will leave more clearance between the wheel well when looking at it from the side which will look dorky. i would use a 205 x 65 - 15 in front. they do not make raised white letter tires in 65 series though.

the 225 will work on the rear fine. you can get 235 x 60 - 15 on there also. this is 3/4" taller and 7/8" wider than a 205 x 65 - 15.

Actually, according to the chart you linked, a 205/70/15 is 26.3", not 24.7. You must have meant the 205/60/15 which is 24.7.
