I was hoping for some sugestions on how to convert this automatic console to a manual shift to fit my car. I bought a used complete console for an automatic. Once I cleaned it up a bit the chrome trim is in pretty fair shape. My original thought was to replace all the chrome plates from CJ Pony parts but after the clean up I'm thinking if I could find a used manual shift plate with minor pitting might be a more economical way plus it will look more like it came on the car. Any sugestions out there where a might start to look for a used shift plate. I've been looking on e-bay but only find new or complete consoles. Any help will be greatly apreciated.

You can just buy a new repro manual shift plate for the console for $46...

I would just keep checking Ebay and craigslist. Between the two you should be able to find a decent shift plate in a couple of weeks. You can also go reproduction but it will not match the other pieces that well.
