I've got a '65 mustang that we're building a 302 roller engine for. I am keeping the '65 oil pan. I need a standard volume/pressure oil pump, but we also need a pickup tube that will fit with the 1965, 10-inch deep oil pan. Because of the roller cam, do we need a hardened driveshaft also? Thanks for any and all help!

Wouldn't hurt. They are on the weak side at higher rpms. I snapped the one on my Dad's base 302. Mustang Monthly has done multiple articles on your install. They may have an article giving this information. I have them, but I have too many mags to sift through at the moment.

get the ford racing oil pump driveshaft. :It's an exact fit and will not require cutting down...the arp shaft requires trimming it to size.

get an autozone standard volume melling oil pump
