hey everyone, i'm in the process of replacing/rebuilding my original engine on my 1966 mustang hardtop toploader 4-speed. It has a very tired 289 in it. I've pulled the engine and i'm in the process of stripping it. The block is in very bad condition. There is a crack in one of the water pump bolt holes and there may be a hole from underneath the intake through to the distributor? anyway, my real question is do all 66 289 blocks have the hole for the z-bar from the original clutch system? like could i put an engine from an original automatic car in and have it work with my clutch system? Thanks!
