Hello forum. I have a small transmission oil leak at the bottom of where the extension housing bolts to the transmission case. All the bolts are tight. My question, is there any way to stop this leak short of pulling it all apart and replacing the gasket? TIA.

I'm sure taking it all apart is the correct way !

Here's (should you want to try it) here an idea.

Take the bolts about 90% out.
Pry the housing back, clean it as good as possible.
If the gasket sticks to one side, leave it alone and apply silicone to it and the housing/case.
Should it be free from both sides, apply silicone to both sides.
Should it be broken and free from both sides, remove it, silicone as above.
Tighten everything back and check it in about 24 hours

Should this fail, you havn't lost anything ! ! ! !
