Hi I'm new to the forum and have some plans on doing a full restomod on my 1966 coupe. As of right now it has a 200 ci inline 6 and 3 speed manuel. My plans are to upgrade to a 347 stroker, t5 5 speed transmission, and 9 inch rear end. Suspension upgrades, disc brakes, and hydralic clutch are also planned upgrades.

I'm starting from back to front and I already am about to pick up a 1973 Ranchero frame with the 9 inch rear still attached complete with third member and driveshaft. Will I have to cut and reposition the leaf spring inlets to fit? Looking forward to hearing from you all. This is going to be a long project and I only want to take the thing apart once lol so for now I'm just collecting, and getting parts prepared. Any advise you throw my way will be greatly appreciated!

The biggest change in my car occurred with the installation of a Rack & Pinion steering setup. It completely changed how the car drove. That, combined with the TCP front suspension and new leaf springs out back transformed the car. You'll enjoy it much more than you do now. Trust me. :)

Sounds like a good start for a plan.
The 9 inch is probably over kill for your build. An 8 inch that has been built with a Trac Lok is good for 500hp. You will break the T5 before the rear end.
I would also recommend you start with rust repair first. Make sure you check the cowl and floors.

Take a look at my build site. It is close to what you have in mind I think
