I have a 302 in my 66 mustang. im going to put an entire new MSD ingnition systems in it. I have the wires, the 6al box along with the coil. my question is should i go with the vacume or mechanical advance? it is a daily driver, however I drive it for performance. Any advice will help.

A vacuum advance distributor senses changes in the engine's LOAD -- and does so almost instantaneously. Mechanical advance distributors, which sense only changes in rpm, are meant for special purpose applications, such as as drag racing or poorly designed multi-carb set-ups...so in reality there is only one choice...vacuum advance
