New to site and my first posting. I'm rebuilding the car that I learned to drive 36 years ago! The shocks haven't been replaced since the 70's. Any suggestions for a good ride. Not a lot of mechanics in my area that have delt with the Mustang for a while and I'm getting varied opinions. Thanks:happydance:

Well, I have KYB Gas-A-Justs on all four corners of my '67 droptop, can't complain a lick. Your '66 won't be much lighter than mine, so they should be just fine on yours too. They are nice and controlled, ride is a tad stiff due to my springs, but the wallow isn't there anymore.

I went with the KYB GR2's as they are advertised as good for a Sunday driver. Love the ride and I really dont need / want any more performance than that. I picked them online with free shipping from CJ Ponyparts so the complete kit cost about $115.

Thanks for the info! I just took a ride today and it is that sway or wallow that I'll be glad to be rid of. My next project will be to upgrade brakes. I've got to think way ahead when coming to a stop.
