Happy to be a new member here!

I'm looking for an oil pan for a 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe it has a completely stock inline 6.

On the internet I've found a couple but I don't know which is the one I need! My mechanic wants to charge me $400 to machine my existing one but I've seen them on line for anywhere from $49 - $149. Much cheaper!

Any help with correct product codes or suggestions on reputable dealers with shipping to Canada would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

What's your mechanic wanting to machine on it? If they're dented they can be pounded out, if it has a hole in it, it can be flattened and welded, if the oil plug drain hole is stripped, you can put in an oversize drain plug. Good Luck.

Thanks for the suggestions so far!
Fixing the thread with a larger plug sounds like the way to go and my Dad has some ideas about pounding out the existing pan and welding it too, so it looks like I'm going that route.

If that doesn't pan out... (sorry) I'll get one from an online dealer. I just need to get a better look at the existing pan so I know which one to buy.

Thanks for the help, I'll keep you posted!
