Hello Mustang Forums!
I own a 1966 v6 Mustang and after a drum brake scare yesterday (had a lot of trouble slowing down on the freeway... but I'm alive!) I'm looking into doing a drum to disc brake conversion. I talked to my normal mechanic (shout out to Mustang Brother's in San Bruno, CA) about it and he said that in order to do the convert, he would have to change my front wheels from 4 lug to 5 lug and it will cost me around 2.2k. Unfortunately that is a little out of my budget. I've read through some forums on here talking about how some people used the Scarebird kits to avoid doing a 4 lug to 5 lug swap and how it was better for people, like me, who are on a budget. Though I've done some minimal work myself, ie misc part swaps, I'm not really too familiar with brakes nor the procedure. My uncle will more than likely be doing my conversion, but I'd really like to do some research before we get started.

After searching through the scarebird website, I am assuming this is the kit I will need to purchase? (please correct me if I'm wrong)
Scarebird Classic Brakes LLC

I'd appreciate any extra information/tips/recommendations/anything.
Sorry for being redundant.

Thanks,
Athena
