I've run into a little problem. I've got a 5.0 engine in my 1966 Mustang with a March serpentine belt system. I want to run an electric fan, but I only have approximately 3.25" of clearance from the water pump pulley. I have found several fans that put out 1250-1280 CFM, but I wonder if that will cool my engine. Anyone out there running an electric fan with a built 340 and run into clearance problems like this? Anyone running a primary fan putting out 1250-1280 CFM and not having cooling issues. I would sure appreciate some input on what to do. :headscratch:

1966 Mustang electric fan problem

How did you get a dual fan on a radiator that measures 15.5 X 18.? I looked at the dual fan set-ups and they all seem to measure 26" wide. Am I missing the secret?

Randy,

Give mattson radiator a call. They're close to you (Orange, Ca.) They have experience with mustangs. I've got their set up for my 67 coupe.
