HELP, Troubleshooting suggestions would be appreciated.

66 Mustang, Trying to Fire up. Hasn't been started in years. I changed the distrubutor, changed the plugs, plug wires, coil, starter sylonoid.

Fuel pump is bad though. I dumped enough gas in the carb to at least start.

Engine cranks, there is spark, but doesn't fire. Battery is good.

Any suggestions ?

thanks

When I'm having problems with getting an engine to run, I use spray ether (auto parts place should have this) to eliminate spark problems. Meaning, if there is good spark, the spray ether should make it run for a second or two, then I start looking at the fuel system.

thats my next step. .but thanks . . i did try starter spray and dumped fluid down the fuel bowls - > doesn't start at all, that should give it a run for a second or 2. Maybe since the car hasn't been started in awhile, need more presure. Its my play around car, so i think im gonna head down to the shop and by a cheap 30 dollar carter mechanical fuel pump and connect that directly to a jerry can.
