What order do the rings go in on the piston? I know mine are currently in this order-- compression, oil, compression. But I just saw a show and they showed the rings in this order-- compression, compression, oil-- from the top down. Are all pistons like this? Thanks, Michael.

Is there any way to mix the rings up or are the ring gaps a certain size? I don't want to rip my engine apart to find out if they are wrong.

the top 2 rings are the same size, usually 5/64ths. the third or bottom oil ring is 3/16ths. the oil ring is a 3 piece design, so it is very different.

I know about the rings, I've replaced them, but I thought I did them in the order compression, oil, compression. What I'm asking is, will the oil rings fit into the compression ring's grooves?
