Hey guys,

So I dropped a 5.0 HO into my 1967 that originally had a 289. I'm getting to the point where it's actually almost ready to start up. I'm running a bit behind because I am replacing the electrical at the same time, and that's about all I have left. My problem though that I just realized today has to do with the mechanical clutch linkage. I'm in a bind. I rebuilt the T4 manual tranny because I didn't want to upgrade to a T5. The problem I'm having though is I kept my old bell housing, which may have been a bad idea. It's all installed now though. I'm wishing I had upgraded to a cable clutch bell housing, but I didn't. How on earth do I get my old mechanical clutch linkage to work with the 5.0 engine??? My 289 had a spot on the block to install the bushing for the clutch equalizer bar and the 5.0 doesn't. How do I install the equalizer bar? Anyone else run into this problem? I'm stuck!
