I am beginning the restore on my 1967 Mustang Fastback 289, however I cannot seem to find a serpentine belt anywhere online where I have been looking. My model has no air conditioning. Can anyone direct me to where I can buy one (preferably online)

Hello arizona67fast,
FIRST - Welcome to the forum. This is a great place to learn
and you will find lot's of help here.

I'll see if I can offer some help here.
Your car originally came with what is known as "V-Belt".
It did not have a serpentine belt BUt I suppose a previous owner
could have swapped things out.

Take a look at the 2 pictures and see if you can determine if yours is
in fact a serpentine or a V-Belt.

If it is a V-Belt you can order on0line at many sources or you
can get one at your local parts store such as AutoZone or Advance Auto.

All you should need to know is the size of the motor and year. On your motor
if it is original and had power steering, you would have 2 V-Belts.

So if it is original pulleys - -they will be V-Belt.

If you determne that it is serpentine - - then you have 2 options.
1. - See if you can get numbers off the block to see if the motor has been swapped
2. - Measure the belt and talk to a parts person at your local parts store.

My feeling is your car will have the V-Belt. The V-blet is about 1/2 inch wide. The serpentine will be more like 3/4 inches wide.

PLaces to look on line for belts are
Mustangs Unlimited.com
CJ-Pony parts

Again I welcome you and hope I have helped. You will learn as you go.
It takes time to learn the terms and places to get parts.
