Hi need to replace the ignition switch on this 1967 mustang and watched some video's and in them it shows the pin hole is at the bottom of the switch. my switch the pin hole is on top. thinking its been out before and put in wrong. Does it make a difference?????

It shouldn't work upside down. Though, perhaps this is why your switch needs replacement. Either that or you're probably looking at a different year or a different view.

There are several styles of switches, one has a stand off that looks like a soldering iron should go in it. My question to you is, are you talking about the key half or the electric half needs to be replaced? If your key part is 180* off, the process should be the same. Once you do it a couple of times you see how easy is it supposed to be. Now getting to the electric half is more work.
