hey, im looking at picking up a 67 mustang coupe. its i good shape overall, but i can tell that all of the metal under the ragtop is rusted out and needs to be replaced. whats a good way to go about repairing this? Does anybody make aftermarket sheetmetal or fiberglass for it?

I suggest going to Mustangs Unlimited. They have pretty much everything you need to build a car from scratch. If i knew exactly what you were looking for i would find it for you and link it but all I can do is just give you the site. Just click on the blue Mustangs Unlimited above which will take you to their convertible section, they have a very large section for them. Hope this helps.

I think he's confused the terms here. Sounds like it's a coupe with a vinyl top. Yes, it's common for rust under the vinyl and if it's real bad then a roof transplant from another car is in order.

The last metal repairs on my car will be the driprail areas that are rusted from a long ago removed vinyl top. The entire interior will need to be removed plus all the glass to fix it right. I'm lucky that it's only the driprails so patches and parts of repro driprails for a fastback will be used (forward 2/3 of the fastback will fit the coupe).

yeah, you got it. its got the vinyl cover on it (i guess ragtop is the full convertible). what kind of cost am i looking at for this deal. the drip rails seem to be ok, but the actual tin part is pretty beat ( just the flimsy middle part.) im gonns check on that site and see what i can find.
